I love teaching!
I just have to share this! I love teaching...kids are so funny! This week we were doing silent reading, so the kids got to take off their shoes, relax, and enjoy a book. Well this little darling took his shoes right off and started reading. I nearly wet myself when I saw his socks. He was not embarrassed or sad, he was very matter-of-fact about the situation. You see, at his house you get asked once to put your laundry in the wash room. If you don't do it, then you don't have clean clothes. He had enough of everything else to get to Saturday (laundry day) except socks...so he improvised! If you can't tell, he chose a woman's knee high (which looks like a thigh high on him) and a men's athletic sock with a hole in the toe. I know you're not supposed to have favorites when you teach! If I did have favorite kids, this one would be one of them. And how cool is his mom? I love that she stuck to her guns and taught him a lesson. I bet his laundry will be where it is supposed to be from now on!

Great story!! I had to laugh when I read it. I don't think I could have done it though. I would have given in and washed more socks.
That is such a funny story Aimee. Chris and I both had a really good laugh. Was he embarrassed of it...or was he showing it off?
That is awesome. I need to start doing that!
