As many of you know, I have about a gazillion dollars worth of crafting supplies in my craft (or crap) room. But I never seem to have the energy to drag all my scrapbook stuff out and just do it! So when I finally took the plunge into digital scrapbooking I thought I was solving a problem. But man, it is hard too! Some of the pages take just as long. I think once I have learned the program it may be better...but right now it's a love/hate thing. I love the way the pages are turning out and that I have everything I need in my laptop. But I hate that it takes me so long to get things just right and that I have to look up every move in a book. I love that I can finish the pages and have two books made if I want (one for Cooper to keep and one for me). I hate that in the month that I have been working on it, I have only really finished three layouts! I love that I can manipulate the photos so easily and use special effects. I love that I don't have to develop pictures. I hate having to pay for "virtual" paper. There are a few free downlads and I know I could make my own...but I am still learning and that would really complicate things. So for now digital scrapbooking is 60% love and 40% hate for me! This was my first attempt...I know it looks like it took ten seconds (please take a moment to marvel at how cute my kid is), but it took a looooooooong time. I am accepting advice from all you seasoned pros!

I love it. Looks good so far, keep up the good work, champ!
I think it turned out very well. Of course you had a lot to work with. I sure love that boy. Wish I could see a lot more picture of him.....sigh
Aimee-
I think that page looks awesome. What website are you using?
Mandi i am using Adobe Photoshop and I haven't decided where to publsh them to yet. I am getting much better!
Adobe Photoshop kills me. I have no idea how to make it all work. So I think you should teach us on your blog. Like a digital scrapbook lesson for the week!
Good job- I can appreciate your efforts. It takes awhile, and if you are using the "real" PS, and not the elements version, get ready for a sharp learning curve. Of all the programs I've read about, Photoshop is hardest to learn, followed by Photoshop Elements. It'll all work out, and I loved your love/hate list. I feel the same way about digital. But I love it a little more, probably because I've gotton used to it and how different it is than papers. Let me just remind you that little ones, glue sticks, scissors, and pretty, expensive papers don't mix. Get your free downloads from two peas and shabby princess. I also subscribe to scrapgirls something and they send freebies thru a letter every two days or so.
