High-low

My good friend Carrie likes to play a game called High Low. At the dinner table everyone goes around and tells the high and the low of their day. I think it's a great way to talk about your day and I m going to do that for our week...

Highs-

Cooper has never loved staying in the nursery. Shaun or I either stay in there with him or he screams his head off (He get that from he Daddy). But not today! Cooper Stayed in nursery for all of church! Woo-Hoo. I snuck a peek at him 3-4 times and he was playing with the kids and having a great time. Here is a picture of him...he's very proud of himself too!

On the way to church Cooper said, "Look mama, red truck gotta boat!" And sure enough in the lane to our right there was a big red Chevy towing a speed boat. Please keep in mind he is 20 months old! I am in awe of what an intellegent, articulate boy we have! He get that from he mama!

Another high for the week is that Cooper ate taco salad and loved it (you'll have to forgive this high, our life is a little boring). This is a staple in our house and I hate having to serve off menu items for him. I try to make it as healthy as possible with spinach leaves, black beans, tomatoes and turkey burger (and lots of ranch and cheese so we don't get too skinny). Coop-de-jour loved it and ate seconds. Now he asks for ranch on every thing. I even saw him dip a pear in it. He get that from he mama too!

Lows-

I have had a red patch on my shoulder for a long time. It was always sort of bothersome and would itch and then heal up but never go away. I got two more on my back so I finally made an appointment. When I went to the dermatologist, she did a biopsy. It is a form of skin cancer called nodular basilcell carcinoma. It is not malignant or harmful. I had the one on my shoulder removed this week and the others will be done at the end of this month. It is really ugly and will leave a scar. But I am so thankful it wasn't worse. So to all who are reading this....take care of your skin! Wear 30 spf every day and reapply as often as you can when in the sun (especially on your babies). The doc said they are from severe sunburns in my childhood and adolescence and I will probably see more as I get older. They usually don't see this type in people may age. Here is a picture of the before of my back and the after on the shoulder.

The lowest low this week is a huge bummer! I found out that I am not pregnant today and I am much sadder than I thought I'd be. I know we have plenty of time and it will happen in God's timetable but I am really disappointed! Upside? Yes, we'll keep trying ;)

I am very thankful it was any worse. Truly blessing and it's nice to know some of my more important prayers are being answered. With that said Cooper-man definitely is an amazing specimen of a young man. I am a big ranch fan (no pun intended) and I also love taco salad. Our gene pool is very strong. The brown background is hard to read for old people, other than that your blog looks mighty good.

Aimee, I am so sorry for your lows. I am glad that you caught the spots on your back. It's a little scary. My heart goes out to you concerning getting pregnant. Be patient- it's hard, but the time will come. My prayers are with you. Hugs!!!
