Is it really October? Wow, Ike really made time (and our shed) fly. We are starting to get back to normal. We have gone back to work, Shaun cut his porn stash, our power is back on...We are almost there. If Comcast would get our cable back on we would really be rockin!
Big News: Cooper is pretty much potty trained. He still has an accident now and then but our boy is now in undies full time! He also is in a big boy bed. We had originally planned on keeping him in the crib for a while. But after staying at Grandmas for a week (during Ike) he got home and thought I needed to sleep with him. After six nights of sleeping on his floor or him in our bed and waking up three to five times a night....we had it! We got a knob that trapped him in his room, bought a twin size bed, and got ready for battle. But when we put him in bed he cried, ran to the door, played with the doorknob, reached his chubby little hand under the door, and cried...for about one minute! Then he fell asleep. That was it! I wish I had done it sooner. The next night when I laid him down he said, "Mama I not cry!" Then he rolled over and fell asleep. What a champ!
Realization: I am old. Evidence: A fifth grader asked me if my 23 year old intern was my daughter. I was shocked! I asked him how old he thought I was, he answered 49! Really? I don't feel any older than 20. But apparently I am ancient.
