Whew!

Spring Break....gotta love it. As usual, we have been crazy with all the activities we are involved in. Our grad courses are going well, Cooper is thriving, and I am getting huge.

We got our grades back from our first assignment. The instructor gave me a 14 of 16 points (88%) with points off for a few grammatical errors and lack of examples on something. He critiqued my paper in probably 200-300 words and said it was overall pretty good. Then Shaun got his back he got 100%...The critique was "You have a rich history with Lamar. Nice Job!" I was dumbfounded...mine was gone over with a fine tooth comb and he has a rich history with the school!? We have had lots of laughs about it! Maybe the grader knew him in his undergrad? Maybe he remembers him from his stud baseball days? Maybe Shaun IS the luckiest guy on earth? Maybe he is way smarter than me (not likely!) Whatever the reason I made sure the grader knew I was Shaun's wife...I'm gonna ride that train! The next week we both got 100%. We are almost done with our 1st of 12 five week courses!

Cooper is wonderful, as usual. He loves to cook anything with mommy. He has really developed a love of trains lately. He loves his toy trains but he especially loves the locomotives and steam trains we see on the rails. When we head back to Cali this summer we're going to have to talk Uncle David into showing us his train. Coop is also a very good sport. I put bunny ears on him for the third year in a row. These are some of the pics we took. I think he makes a fantastic bunny.

I am pretty sure I am nesting. I did get an embroidery machine and I love it. I have been sewing a lot and embroidering anything I can get my hands on. Our kitchen table is no longer for eating...it has two machines on it, a cutting board, and lots of thread and fabric. Maggie is stocked on handmade bows for the rest of her life (realistically, I could probably supply the whole neighborhood). Last week I gave away half my classroom too. This urge to simplify is great.

some of the bows

a hooded towel with an M for Maggie

a bandana dress

homemade bibs with embroidery!

We are super excited to see The Clyde family next week. Cooper's cousins Brax and Brink are coming for a visit and we can't wait! Don't tell Brinkley but the pink dress is for her. Now I need to make something for Braxton and we're all set (I'm thinking a dress with matching bow won't do!).

This week we have already been to the park, the jumping place, we plan on going to the rodeo, and we have to go see the blue bonnets! I love, love, love spring break with my two favorite boys!

Wow!! That was some serious posting. You sure saved up. That boy of yours is, in my totally unbiased opinion, one wonderful kid. Yep he is definitely Mr. Magnificent. Love the baking, sewing, bows, and especially the playing at the park in the slide. We miss the heck out of hou guys and can't wait for the blessing. Kiss everyoen for me and tell I love them and can't wait to tear something down this summer.
