Captivating

It is amazing the ways in which you change when you have a child. The world takes on a different view. You become more humble, more protective, more interested in things that would not have previously held your attention. I have to laugh at the way poop has become a pretty normal and regular conversation around our house. Is it the right color? Does he do it enough? Is it the right consistency? On and on....poop is something I never really pondered on before Coop (please excuse the rhyme!)

The other day I was cooking, Shaun was mowing, and Cooper was playing in his exersaucer. It was a perfect family scene. The clock struck 6:30 and it was time for Cooper to eat. I went to pick him up and noticed poo-poo on his foot. Shaun walked in and noticed the same. We had both heard him grunting earlier but paid it no mind. Somehow he had scooted his bottom over in the fabric seat and the poo-poo shot out the side of his diaper, out of the seat and landed in a big pile on his right foot. Of course I was totally grossed out and after a couple minutes of laughing, trying to maneuver him out of the seat and run him to the bath tub...Shaun got this picture. I wish I had had the presence of mind to shoot it before he was removed from the seat. Nonetheless, here is the "poop from Coop" that made us laugh.
